Retro Sunday

I finally had the chance to hit the beach last Sunday with my family and other relatives. As much as we wanted an overnight, we only went on a day trip since the weekend was sandwiched between long tests and a marketing deliverable. My cousin wanted us to go somewhere that’s not crowded so we can relax and enjoy the place to ourselves so we went to Aquaria Beach Resort in Calatagan, Batangas. It’s just a newly opened resort and a lot of buildings are still under construction. The resort is situated in a town a bit far from restaurants and other establishments (I was asleep the entire roadtrip so I can’t describe how isolated the place was HAHA) which is probably another reason why only a few people know about it. The trip was a 3-hour drive from Manila since we left before dawn to avoid heavy traffic.

The shore wasn’t so picturesque because the sand is dark. The waters, on the other hand, was rather friendly. We were already a long way from the shore but the water is still down to our waists! The part near the shore has a lot of seaweeds so we stayed farther away where it really felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves.

The resort also has swimming pools and one of them had a long slide.

Of course, the trip wouldn’t be complete without a photoshoot every once in a while! I felt the retro vibes in the print of my swimsuit so I matched it with this pair of circular framed sunnies.

I hope I get to have more getaways before the rainy season!
