Seoul Search: Gyeongbokgung Palace

As much as we love the city, we’re also very much interested in the rich culture and history of South Korea. Last Friday, we decided to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace, the first palace built in the Joseon Dynasty. We went just in time for the guard changing ceremony which is the reenactment of the actual shifts and changing ceremony during the Joseon period. There are also free tour schedules for tourists who want to have a deeper cultural understanding about the palace and its architecture, the restoration, and the life of generations of the royal family who lived there for hundreds of years.
